Avita Motors, as a high-end intelligent electric brand jointly developed by Changan Automobile, Huawei, and CATL, is dedicated to providing users with an emotionally intelligent travel experience. With the rapid expansion of its business, the investment in IT infrastructure has been continuously rising. Avita Motors is seeking more efficient IT solutions to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Therefore, Avita Motors chose to collaborate with ZStack by Cloud Axis Technology, migrating some of its business from public cloud to private cloud environments to optimize resource allocation and cost control.

Avita Motors’ administrative office systems, software testing and development environments, container services, and file & object storage services were originally deployed on the public cloud. Faced with the rising IT infrastructure costs driven by business growth, Avita Motors decided to migrate these systems to an on-premises data center to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

The ZStack Cloud platform and ZStack distributed storage technology closely align with Avita Motors’ business needs, offering an efficient, flexible, stable, and cost-effective solution. In the first-phase project, ZStack utilized existing x86 servers and adopted a converged architecture to deploy cloud host services and file & object storage services to support office operations, testing and development environments, and the company’s internal network drive system. As the business expanded, the second-phase project scaled up storage and compute nodes to meet the business demands.

The ZStack Cloud platform supports VPC network technology, isolating resources for different applications. Applications can exchange information through cloud routers or dynamic routing protocols, greatly simplifying the overall network architecture. Additionally, the high performance and stability of ZStack Cloud meet Avita Motors’ requirements for business continuity while protecting legacy assets.

ZStack’s distributed storage ensures high data reliability through redundancy strategies such as replication and EC erasure coding. It also provides an easy-to-use management interface and API, simplifying operations and maintenance. These features of ZStack distributed storage provide Avita Motors with a stable and easily manageable storage solution, especially for storing important documents such as contracts and invoices in the company’s internal network drive system.
