Challenge Requirements

The original information system was mainly hosted on physical machines. However, the physical machines are outdated, and with the increasing number of new business systems, it is difficult to meet the current business demands. The group’s information technology planning urgently requires an advanced and stable cloud infrastructure to support core business and meet database and streaming media file storage needs. Considering data security, cloud backup services are also required to ensure the backup of host, database, and application data.

It is especially worth mentioning that due to the numerous databases used, the cloud platform needs to not only provide convenient database creation, deployment, operation, maintenance, and monitoring services for various databases, but also support general-purpose database cloud hosts and high-performance bare metal database deployment. Moreover, the overall information system transformation needs to meet network security level protection requirements and control the overall budget.

Deployment Scheme

The ZStack Cloud platform provides high-performance, high-availability cloud hosts, cloud storage, and cloud network services. For storage, all-flash storage and object storage services are used, eliminating the need for separate storage gateway nodes and leveraging existing disk arrays. Disaster recovery nodes can also provide data backup needs for cloud hosts, cloud disks, databases, and business applications.

The ZStack Cloud platform builds an elastic bare metal cluster to meet the high-performance database demands. The ZStack RDS database cloud platform can build a database management platform that services automated deployment, operation, maintenance, and monitoring of dozens of mainstream databases, meeting the requirements for various database services. Additionally, the entire project uses the ZStack cloud platform products to seamlessly manage firewalls, IPS, and other security devices, building a security resource pool to meet user security compliance requirements.
